Our Story

Welcome!! My name is Becci and I am obsessed with candles and have been ever since I was young. I can still remember the scent of candle that my mom would always burn in the kitchen. As I got older and was trusted with my own candle, she would buy me candles to burn in my bedroom as a teenager and I can still remember that fruity scent as well. Even though it was just my bedroom, it was my first space to make “my own” and get creative with how I wanted it to feel.

Fast forward through my college apartment, my first home and now, I always have a candle burning. If I’m home, there’s usually one burning on my kitchen island. Every single day, it’s my favorite home accessory. There’s just something so beautiful about a candle burning. Of course there is the lovely scent, but the coziness of the flame just makes for a warm and inviting space.

Why the name Sugar Creek? When I was 13, my parents built a new home in Middletown, IN on several acres, where there was creek that ran through the back of the property, named Sugar Creek. That property was like none other in that area with hills, a creek, woods and lots of area to ride 4wheelers and play. We made so many wonderful memories growing up there and playing in that creek…which we still do, to this day. We would stay out there all day long playing (no matter the season) and when it was time to come back inside, there was always that warm and inviting fragrance greeting us as soon as we would walk in, and that I will always remember.
